Please note that this privacy statement does not apply to any third party websites which are linked to our Site. Our privacy policy has been updated in-line with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the 25th May 2018.
Definitions and Interpretation “Website” means ‘joclayton.co.uk’ “Personal Information” means any information about you which is personally identifiable including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number and email address.
What information do we collect about you? You can visit our website without disclosing any personally identifiable information about yourself. We may collect and process Personal Information when you get in touch with us. You may sign up to receive a newsletter/subscribe to email on-line or in person, and provide us with your name and email address. You may provide us with information using our enquiry form, when you visit us at the workshop, or at events, or when you email us or contact us in any way for any reason. We may ask you for your name, postal address, telephone number and email address and may also request additional information from you in order to provide you with the information, goods or services you have requested. All of your information is supplied on a voluntary basis. Please be assured that we will only use your personal information to support your relationship with ‘Jo Clayton’.
What do we do with the information? You can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will send you a newsletter now & then when we have news from the workshop or woodland, new product launches, special offers, or events, but we promise not to bombard you. You are able to unsubscribe from these emails by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter. We do not share or sell our mailing lists to other companies. Our newsletters are sent using the services of third party provider Mailchimp who have their own stringent Privacy Policy.
We use Google Analytics to compile visitor statistics about our website. This is all anonymous and provides information such as how many people have visited our website, what type of technology they are using, how long they spend on the site, what page they look at etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website.
Our website links to various social networks including Facebook and Instagram. The privacy implications vary from social network to social network and will be dependent on the privacy settings you have chosen on these networks. Our website may include functionality provided by third parties for example our films may be embedded YouTube videos.
We will only share Personal Information with third parties in order to provide you with a necessary customer experience. For example we share your name, address and phone number to facilitate delivery of purchased goods. We use Paypal, a well known and secure online payment method, to process your payments. Paypal will also process credit or debit card payments for those who do not have a Paypal account. We do not do not see or store any credit, debit card d or bank details.
We may contact you by email, phone or mail for market research purposes. We have implemented all reasonable and practical steps to ensure the security of your personal information, however, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
