Botanical Monoprint Workshop
As Part of Printfest Ulverston 2023 I am proud to be running workshops to teach Botanical Monoprinting using a Gel Plate & Acrylic Paints. Make your own colourful prints using plants.
You will learn how to use a brayer & apply paint to your Gel plate. you will learn how to take both mask & ghost prints of your chosen plant material, to bring out its shape & texture onto the paper.
You will learn to layer up colours to create fun & interesting effects.
Play & experimentation will be the focus of the workshop.

All materials & equipment are provided & included in the cost of the workshop.
This booking is for the morning session.
the same session will be repeated in the afternoon, so if you want to make a day of it,book both workshops & you will get to play & develop some more whilst I can share some extra tips & tricks with you.
What to bring
Yourself
though it’s unlikely you will get paint on your clothes, it’s best to wear something suitable or bring an apron/ old shirt for protecting your clothes
please bring a plant or 2 you would like to print. something flatish & sturdyish with a shape you like &/or good vein detail that could make an impression in paint. don’t worry if you are not able to bring any plants as I will bring extra for you to use. One of the joys of printing with plants is that it makes you look more closely at plants & notice their details!
